Salary Structure/Scale of Pay :
Rs. 5400 – 25200 (PB 2) + 2600 (Grade Pay), other admissible allowances and prospect of future promotion are subject to existing Rule.Eligibility Criteria :
CITIZENSHIP : Applicant Must Be a Citizen of India.AGE LIMIT : 18 to 27 years. age to be calculated on 01/01/2015. Age relaxasion available as per Govt. Norms.
Educational Criteria :
The applicant must have passed Madhyamik Examination under W.B.B.S.E or its equivalent examinations.Physical Eligibility :
(a) For the post of Constable :- Minimum Height – 167 cms.
- Minimum Chest – 78 cms. with minimum expansion of 5 cms. by inhalation.
- Minimum Weight – Proportionate to height as per medical standard.
Relaxation in Physical measurement for the post of Constable will be given to GORKHA, GARWALI, RAJBANSI and ST in the following manner:-
- Minimum Height – 160 cms.
- Minimum Chest – 76 cms. with minimum expansion of 5 cms. by inhalation.
- Minimum Weight - Proportionate to height as per medical standard.
(b) For the post of Lady Constable:
- Minimum Height – 160 cms.
- Minimum Weight - Proportionate to height as per medical standard.
Relaxation in Physical measurement for the post of Lady Constable will be given to GORKHA,
GARWALI, RAJBANSI and ST in the following manner:-
- Minimum Height – 152 cms.
- Minimum Weight - Proportionate to height as per medical standard.
Eligibility in respect of Health (For all Posts):- The candidate must possess sound physical and mental health.
N.B. -Benefit of such relaxation at the time of measurement shall be applicable only for those who produce valid certificate in support of their category to which they belong viz. Gorkhas / Garwalies / Rajbansis / Scheduled Tribes. *The Height-Weight ratio chart for Physical Measurement Test (PMT) is furnished below:-

Note : The weight range of such candidates having height which is not included in the above chart, will be considered for the next height. For instance, the weight of a candidate having height between 160.1 cm and 161.9 cm which is not included in the above ‘Height–Weight Ratio Chart’, will be 53–66 kg which is mentioned against the height of 162 cm. Hence, the ‘Height’ column indicates the height upto which the given weight range is applicable.
Selection Procedure of KP Constable Recruitment :-
- Physical Measurement Test (PMT):- The candidates submitting valid applications will be called for Physical Measurement. Photograph and Finger Print will be taken through webcam/biometric device, when the candidates appear for Physical Measurement. Thereafter Physical Measurement will be taken through Digital Measurement Device. Chest Measurement will be taken for only those candidates, who will qualify in the Height and Weight Measurement (for the post of Constable only).
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET):- The candidates, who will qualify in Physical Measurement, will be considered for Physical Efficiency Test. Timing of individual runner may be taken with the help of Radio Frequency Identification Device (RFID).
Qualifying Standard :-
(a) For the post of Constable:- 1600 metres Run to be completed within 06 minutes and 30 seconds.
(b) For the post of Lady Constable:- 400 metres Run to be completed within 02 minutes. - Written Test- Full marks 90 :- The candidates, who will qualify in the Physical Efficiency Test, will be considered for ‘Written Test’. The Written Test will have objective type questions on Current Affairs, General Knowledge, General English, Elementary Mathematics and Analytical Aptitude in multiple choice answer system. Full marks of the Written Test will be 90 and allotted time will be 60 minutes, having provision of negative marking against the wrong answers. The answer sheet may be evaluated in Optical Mark Recognition (OMR System).
* Note:- 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. The category wise (General/ SC/ST etc.) qualifying marks in the written examination for appearing before interview board will be fixed by KPRB. - Interview - Full marks 10 :- The candidates, who will qualify in the Written Test, will be considered for Interview. After the interview a Merit List of provisionally selected candidates will be prepared on the basis of total marks obtained in ‘Written Test’ and ‘Interview’.
- Medical Examination (For all Posts) :- Provisionally selected candidates will have to undergo a medical examination at the Hospital, designated by Govt. of West Bengal and earmarked by Kolkata Police.
- Verification of Character and Antecedents (For all Posts) :-Provisionally selected candidates will have to fill up and submit ‘Verification Roll’ which will be thoroughly enquired into by the authority concerned.
- Training (For all Posts) :- Provisionally appointed candidates will have to undergo a prescribed course of training / probation successfully before their confirmation in the rank. In case of resignation, before confirmation is tendered by the employee, he shall have to pay the training cost, as per existing Govt. rule.
Fee Details :
General/Unreserved/OBC Candidates should pay application fee of Rs. 150/-. SC/ST Candidates of West Bengal need not pay any fee. Reserved Candidates of other states will be treated as unreserved student. Fee once paid will not be refunded. Applications without fee will be rejected summarily.

Your Form will be generated with some pre-filled information. Your Offline Form Must Contain Unique SERIAL No. Please Note That Forms without Unique Serial No is not valid. To Pay fee in Offline Mode Candidates may use India Post or Allahabad Bank.
